September 13: Weekly Status Update

Please note that all published dates and timelines are subject to change. We appreciate your flexibility as we continue to refresh our campus!

NEW THIS WEEK
Atrium Remodel: Began Tuesday, Sept. 10
One of the most significant projects in this phase of the Refresh is remodeling the Atrium. This space is already a hub for church activities, and installing a drop ceiling, making acoustical adjustments, and other updates will turn this room into an excellent venue for gatherings and events. This project is expected to be completed in early November.

The Atrium and Café Central will remain closed for the duration of the project, though efforts will be made to keep the Atrium restrooms available on Sunday mornings. During this time, traffic from the Sanctuary/Grand Foyer to Route 252, WeeOnes, and K-Chapel will be rerouted through the hallway north of the Sanctuary. Access into the building for Wednesday evening meals and programming will be through the east “E3” doors. On Sunday mornings, all doors except the Chapel and Atrium doors will be open. Please consider this when you park your car, as you may have to walk farther than normal to enter the building.

North Sanctuary Restrooms
Remodeling work on the restrooms in the north Sanctuary hallway began Monday, Sept. 9. While these restrooms are closed, Work on the restrooms in the east Sanctuary hall and upstairs by Room 215 began July 8. All remodels are expected to last approximately 45 days.

PREVIOUS UPDATES
Sanctuary Stage: Began August 12
The extension of the Sanctuary stage has begun. The entire project is expected to last several weeks. However, worship services will continue in the Sanctuary during this time.

Sanctuary Roofing: Began August 21
New roofing is being installed on the entire Sanctuary wing of the building. The northeast parking lot is being used as a staging zone for much of the equipment and materials, so parking is limited on that side of the building.
