To begin the season of Lent, Pastor Bob shares the story of Peter walking on water, underscoring that Jesus called Peter because He believed in his potential to be like Him. The sermon illustrates how Jesus's invitation to follow Him is not just for admirers, but for true disciples who trust and embody His teachings. Ultimately, Pastor Bob encourages the us to "get in the wheelbarrow" with Jesus, committing to a transformative relationship through faith, while recognizing that Jesus believes in their ability to do great things.
What does it truly mean to follow in the footsteps of Jesus? This Lent, as we journey toward the cross and reflect on His ultimate sacrifice, we invite you to walk where He walked, learn from His teachings, and embody His love. Join us as we explore the life of our Rabbi and discover how we can live out His example every day.
December 25 & January 1:
10:00am Combined Family Worship
Christmas Day and New Year’s Day both fall on a Sunday this year. On these days, we are combining our worship experiences into one combined service at 10:00am. We hope this allows members of our congregation to spend more time with their families on these special holidays while still offering the opportunity to gather and worship. These services will both be live-streamed.
There will be no Kids Ministry or other class gatherings on December 25 and January 1. Kids are welcome to attend “big church” with their parents, and these services will be shorter and more casual than our usual Sunday services. Additionally, Cafe Central will not be open these mornings.
We pray this holiday season will be a blessing to you and your family! We look forward to celebrating these special days with you in these combined family worship services.
