March 17, 2024, was Celebration Sunday—the day when the congregation was invited to celebrate through worship and fellowship all that God is doing in and through Central Community Church. It was announced that the total pledges committed to the Refresh Campaign, to date, are $6,123,409.
Celebration Sunday was the finale of a nearly three-month introductory/challenge phase of the Refresh Campaign, the church’s $5.4 million giving initiative that will address repairs and refurbishments needed to update the 36-year-old facility to prepare it for future generations of ministry. (Previous highlights were Kick-Off Sunday on January 14, Prayer Emphasis Sunday on February 4, Challenge Sunday on February 25, and Commitment Sunday on March 3.
The Celebration Sunday service was a combined 10:00am family worship service in the Sanctuary, with more than 1,400 in in-person attendance. The morning included 12 baptisms, worship led by our children, choir, and orchestra, and a stirring message from Pastor Bob encouraging faith in Jesus’s power and trust in His perfect timing. A cookie reception followed.
Detailed next-step plans for construction work will be announced soon.
